After the water battle, Mayor Mabel called an emergency meeting. "We have received a message," she said gravely. "A cousin mole is trapped inside the City Zoo and cannot get out!"

Max shivered. "The Zoo is dangerous," he whispered. "If the Zookeepers see us, they will catch us with nets and put us all in cages, just like the other animals."

Milo looked at the crowd of moles from both towns. "But we have more power now!" he said bravely. "There are hundreds of us. If we all dig together, we can rescue him before anyone sees us."

The moles cheered and started the Big Rescue Dig. Dirt flew everywhere as hundreds of paws shoveled at the same time. They moved faster than ever before, zooming toward the city.

They dug for hours until the ground rumbled above them. "Shh!" said Mayor Mabel. "I hear lions walking." They were right under the Zoo, very close to the trapped cousin.

Suddenly, Milo’s shovel made a loud *CLANG!* He tried to dig again, but *CLANG!* Sparks flew. A gigantic, dark grey rock blocked the entire tunnel path.

The moles tried to dig left, right, up, and down, but the rock was too huge to move. They were stuck right outside the Zoo! "How will we get through?" wondered Milo... to be continued.
