1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sprinkles ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a minor, you accept these terms on their behalf and are responsible for their use.

2. Description of Service

Sprinkles is an AI-powered children's story generator. Users can create illustrated stories by providing text prompts, uploading images, or using voice input. Stories are organized into episodes, are publicly viewable, and can be shared via link. Users can continue their stories with additional episodes, and other users can fork (branch) public stories to create their own continuations.

3. Account and Authentication

To create stories, you must sign in using a Google account. By signing in, you authorize us to access your basic Google profile information (name, email, and profile picture).

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 13 may use the Service only with parental consent and supervision.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate any other person.

4. Content Creation and Ownership

Stories on Sprinkles are generated by artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) based on prompts you provide.

  • You retain rights to the original prompts you submit.
  • AI-generated text and images are subject to the terms of the underlying AI providers (Google, OpenAI).
  • By creating a story, you grant Sprinkles a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, store, and distribute your stories publicly on the platform.
  • You may unlist stories from public browsing at any time via your dashboard. Unlisted stories remain accessible by direct URL.

5. Acceptable Use

Sprinkles is a children's content platform. You agree not to:

  • Submit prompts intended to generate harmful, violent, explicit, or inappropriate content.
  • Attempt to circumvent content safety filters or AI guardrails.
  • Use the Service to harass, bully, or target any individual.
  • Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

6. Forking and Community Content

Sprinkles allows users to fork (branch) publicly listed stories created by other users.

  • When you fork a story, a new independent story is created under your account. You own your forked story and its subsequent episodes.
  • By listing a story publicly, you acknowledge that other users may fork it.
  • You may not fork stories for the purpose of misrepresenting authorship or removing attribution.

7. Intellectual Property

The Sprinkles name, logo, and service design are our property. All AI-generated content may be subject to the terms of the underlying AI providers. Nothing in these terms grants you rights to our trademarks or branding.

8. Service Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uptime or availability. Story generation depends on third-party AI services (Google Vertex AI, OpenAI) which may experience outages or changes beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Sprinkles is not liable for the accuracy, appropriateness, or completeness of AI-generated content.
  • We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • AI-generated stories and images may not always be suitable for all audiences. Parental review of generated content is recommended.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms. You may request account deletion by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though previously generated public content may remain accessible.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
