Wally the walkie-talkie loved crunchy raisins and happy trips. He clipped on his orange backpack and went to the park to talk with his friends. “Click-click! Can you hear me?” Wally giggled.
One day, Penny the phone rolled up and said, “I’m better than you! I can do more things.” Wally blinked and said kindly, “That’s cool, Penny. I just love talking to friends.”
Then Penny needed to call for help to find Bree the bird on the trail. Penny tried and tried, but there was no internet out there. “Uh-oh,” Penny whispered, “my call won’t go through!”
Wally lifted his yellow antenna high, as high as a huge tower! “Click-click! Bree, can you hear us?” Wally called, and Bree chirped back right away, even without internet.
Bree fluttered down, safe and smiling. Penny said, “I’m sorry I bragged, Wally. You’re amazing at what you do!” Wally shared raisins with everyone, and they all went on a cheerful trip together, talking the whole way.
